There will be categories for Juniors, Seniors and Elders, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for each category. Artworks will be displayed at MVAC open day on Tuesday 4th July.

Flag raising ceremony
Monday 3rd July | 10am
Join us in honouring the beginning of NAIDOC Week at our flag-raising event held at MVAC.
The ceremony will include a Welcome to Country, smoking ritual, traditional Aboriginal dance performances, speeches, and a morning tea provided for all attendees.
MVAC Open Day
Tuesday 4th July | 10am
Join us on Tuesday 4th July for an MVAC Open Day, where we invite everyone to come in and learn more about our services, recent projects, and future aspirations.
Check out the creative entries from our Art competition which will be on display, and enjoy morning tea during your visit.
MVAC Movie Night
Wednesday 5th July | 5.30pm
Fast and Furious: Fast X
On Wednesday 5th July, we'll be hosting MVAC Movie Night at the Robinvale Arts Center. From 5:30 to 8pm, we'll be screening Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Everyone is welcome to attend!
NAIDOC Family Fun Day
Friday 7th July | 11am
As NAIDOC Week comes to a close, join us for an official closing ceremony featuring a Welcome to Country, smoking ritual, and traditional Aboriginal dance performances.
After the ceremony, stay on for a family fun day filled with exciting activities. Enjoy lunch and and sweet treats from our donut, waffle, and ice cream van. There will also be face painting, a jumping castle, pony rides, a merry-go-round, an animal zoo, and much more for a fun family experience.
Fishing Competition
Friday 7th July | All day
Head down to the Cut and see who can reel in the biggest perch!
- 1st prize - Bait caster fishing rod
- 2nd prize - $100 BCF Gift Voucher

NAIDOC Ball
Saturday 22nd July | 6.30pm
Join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week at the 2023 NAIDOC Ball, where you'll be treated to an unforgettable evening at the Euston Club, complete with a buffet dinner, dessert, and performance by Don Costa, with supporting act Thea. There will be a door prize, dance competition and NAIDOC King & Queen!
Tickets are on sale at MVAC reception for $30 per person - please make sure to purchase tickets prior to the event as they will not be sold at the door.
