Our community of Elders took advantage of the beautiful autumn weather to take a short trip south to see some Cultural highlights at the Yung Balug Aboriginal Artefacts Museum.
The museum displays a very large collection of Yung Balug Clan artefacts donated mainly by retired farmers from the surrounding districts, plus some of the oldest photos of Aborigines living on the creek that flows into Lake Boort, these photos were taken in the early 1850’s by John Hunter Kerr.

We have proudly made a substantial donation to the Robinvale Football Netball Club, reflecting its commitment to supporting local sport and community wellbeing.
MVAC, working hand in hand with Dhelk Dja Mallee Action Group and Maliyan Consulting, held the Easter Camp 2025 in Robinvale. It was fantastic to get the community involved in this annual event on the riverbank.
It has been a long hot summer, but for Indigenous children it has been the perfect opportunity to learn to swim. Our organisation is running a swimming program for First Nations children aged three and up. Find out more in this month's newsletter.
Our Aboriginal Private Rental Assistance Program (APRAP) team of Gazi Mustakim and Jessie Marson got the chance to share their expertise and connect with colleagues from across Victoria at their recent forum, held at Dardi Munwurro in Preston.
A visit from Santa was the perfect way to help our kids at the Early Learning Centre celebrate the end of 2024.

We are celebrating 50 years of MVAC, and it was wonderful to kick off the party with an opening ceremony featuring food, Culture and memories.
We were Black, loud and proud! It was a fantastic night of fun and fashion as our community gathered for our annual NAIDOC Ball.
