The Time out Services Family Violence Program aims to provide cultural appropriate support to Aboriginal people who use inappropriate behavior towards their family members to empower them to deal with their issues.

This also includes enhancing the safety of Aboriginal people experiencing or recovering from family violence through the provision of timely and appropriate support services, Case Management and service projects directed at Aboriginal people attempting to address their behaviour. Services include, counselling, behaviour change programs, mentoring cultural and spiritual healing activities.

 

About you

You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding Aboriginal families, stolen generation and the need for cultural strengthening and community connection. You will have a strong knowledge of services along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will create positive and collaborative relationships within a team environment to deliver programs focused on creating long lasting change and positive outcomes.
A relevant tertiary qualification minimum Certificate III in Community Services or less formal qualifications with significant industry experience would be highly advantageous.
